First boxes arrive and counting underway in Aberdeenshire North and Moray East
THE first boxes have arrived and counting has begun for the Aberdeenshire North and Moray East constituency at Aberdeen’s P+J Live.
The constituency - which runs from Fochabers to Cruden Bay and includes Buckie and Keith - is one of five being counted in the Granite City.
Polls closed at 10pm. Postal votes were first to be verified by a team of counting staff, before the first boxes began arriving at the venue at around 10.30pm.
However, Mr Ross knows better than most that it’s too early to be sure. He was given a 99 per cent chance of losing the Moray seat back in 2019 - and went on to win.
The Gordon and Buchan constituency is expected to be ‘too close to call’ with the Conservatives given a 58 per cent chance of winning compared to the SNP’s 42 per cent.
The result for Aberdeenshire North and Moray East is expected at around 4.45am, with Gordon and Buchan to follow at 5.15am.
