Elgin City start and finish with Cowdenbeath matches

Elgin City start and end their Ladbrokes League Two campaign against Cowdenbeath, with their first match with newly promoted Cove Rangers coming on September 21.

The fixtures were announced at 9am this morning, and Elgin start the campaign at Borough Briggs on August 3.

The longest trip of the season, after Berwick Rangers' relegation, comes second up with a trip to Annan Athletic.

Relegated Stenhousemuir are third up, with a match at Borough Briggs. The full fixtures were made available on City's twitter page.

The first match against newly promoted Cove Rangers, who will become the new "local derby", will be at home on September 21, with the first trip to Balmoral coming three days after Christmas Day.

City's season will end at Cowdenbeath, on May 3.

Before the league season gets under way, City have four League Cup matches – including a home tie against Hibernian.
