The next Film Forres event, on Friday, June 2, will feature a showing of 2013's Gangsta Granny.

Based on a widely-loved children's book by actor and presenter David Walliams, the PG-rated movie follows the exploits of a young boy Ben and his innocuous-seeming gran.

However, there is more to Granny than meets the eye, as she was a jewel thief in a past life.

Plotting to knick the crown jewels to battle Ben's boredom, the pair embark on a fun 60 minutes of family-friendly action.

There is no need to book, and anybody interested can drop by the side door of Forres Town Hall.

Doors open 6pm, for a 6:30pm start, and the showing costs £1 at the door.

A tuck shop will be available for snacks and refreshments, and a Film Forres spokesperson said that new members are welcome.
