Applications are now open for the Aldi Scottish Sport Fund which aims to help people of all ages take part in physical activity within their local communities by giving clubs the chance to secure up to £500 funding.

Since launching in 2016, over 250 clubs across Scotland have benefitted from a funding boost.

Richard Holloway, regional managing director for Scotland said: "As official sponsors of Team GB, we want to create a lasting legacy from the Summer and Winter Olympic Games and make it easier for people across the country to access sport within their local communities.

"The Aldi Scottish Sport Fund does just that, it is our way of giving local clubs a helping hand to continue the fantastic work they do in their communities, helping people lead a healthy and active lifestyle.

"Each year we are blown away by the response we get to our call for applications and I'd encourage any sports clubs across the north-east and Moray to apply."

Applications must be submitted by Monday, April 29. All application will be considered by the Aldi judging panel and entrants will be notified of the outcome of their funding application within four to six weeks.
