The event will bring together traditional Scottish entertainment and country sports performances offering something for all the family. For the first time the games will welcome Les Amis Stunt Team to perform jousting and entertain audiences both young and old alike.

They will be thrilling the audience with their jousting display with six of their horses.

This will be taking place in the Country Sports Arena.

In the games arena itself, events ranging from the light hammer to the 28lb Weight for Distance will be on show, with competitors once again coming from far and wide to contest the trophies up for grabs. Debuting last year, the games will play host to women's open heavy events and tug o war, which proved hugely successful.

There will be a warm welcome back Mordor Gun Dogs, and the much-loved Gordon Setter gathering. In between the packed schedule of both arenas visitors will enjoy massed pipe band displays, wood turning, laser clay, archery, axe throwing and a rather exciting dog show.

There are a number of local food vendors attending the games, so there is something for everyone to feast on and delight their tastebuds. From Scottish dishes and delicious street food to tempting sweet treats and vegan options, there will be no shortage of choice.

A variety of trade stands will once again be on show.

The games were resurrected by current Gordon Castle owners Angus and Zara Gordon-Lennox in 2011. The games had previously been a major event in the local calendar by the early 20th century, regularly attracting crowds in the order of 30,000. However, by the 1930s death duties forced the sale of Gordon Castle, bring the curtain down on the games.
