A warship named after Moray's best known river was commissioned into the Royal Navy's fleet earlier today.
HMS Spey was built on the Clyde by BAE Systems at a cost of £127million.
Back in October 2019 a delegation from Moray went down to Glasgow for the vessel's naming ceremony.
Since leaving the shipyard she has been undergoing a rigorous programme of operational sea training to ready her for action.
Another ceremony was held today at Invergordon for HMS Spey and her 45-strong crew as she was welcomed into active service.
