Elgin house fire - on corner of Glenlossie Drive and Springfield Road - tackled by fire brigade





Two fire engines were called to a house fire on a residential street in Elgin.

A fire within a home on the corner of Glenlossie Drive, where it meets Springfield Road, was reported after 9pm on Wednesday night.

There were no reported casualties and crews - who were seen entering the house with breathing apparatus - were able to make the scene safe.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.09pm on Wednesday, April 23, to reports of a fire within a domestic property on Springfield Road in Elgin.

“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the scene, and crews extinguished the fire.

“There were no casualties, and crews have now left the scene after ensuring the area was safe.”
