'Indecent assault' woman asked to come forward

POLICE are investigating a potential indecent assault of a woman sat at a bus stop in Forres.

CCTV footage shows the woman, who has long dark curly hair and is of medium build, being approached by two men on separate occasions.

The incidents happened at about 4.10pm on Monday, August 24, at the bus stop on High Street near to its junction with Gordon Street.

The first man is described as being in his early 60s, having short thinning grey hair, of stocky build and wearing a grey jacket. He is believed to have an Inverness accent.

The female was later approached by a second male described as being in his early 30s, approximately 6ft tall with short blonde hair and wearing blue jeans, a dark coloured T-Shirt with white writing on the front.

Both men attempted to engage the woman in conversation.

It is understood she came to no harm as a result of being approached, however police are keen to speak to her.

It’s thought that she would have got on the No 10 Stagecoach bus service which runs from Forres to Aberdeen.

Police have asked for the woman to contact them on 101.
