Union Square shopping centre in Aberdeen is running a personal shopping service with a difference.

Instagran is currently on hand to help clothes shoppers with what they need most – a healthy dose of good old-fashioned honesty.

GWA (Grannies With Attitude) will be available all week to pass on their opinions about what looks good – and what does not.

Scarlett Hill, the centre's marketing manager, said: "We all know the pressure that people face now on social media to look good.

"That's why Instagran is here to help our shoppers pick out the outfits that suit them the best.

"Friends can sometimes tell you what they think you want to hear.

"Instagran gives it to you straight, but in a nice and gentle way."

Following this initial trial of Instagran, Union Square will review customer feedback with a view to potentially rolling out the service later in the year.
