FIVE teenage musicians will be improvising for the first time in public at Moray Jazz club a week on Thursday.

The three saxophonists, one trumpet player and a clarinet player have been attending regular weekly workshops organised by the club.

These workshops were paid for by a very generous donation by an anonymous source.

Alongside the houseband the teenagers will be performing a 12-bar blues composed by club stalwart Colin Henderson as well as Freddie the Freeloader, which was written by Miles Davis.

Doors open 8pm on Thursday, June 20, at the Elgin City Social Club. Admission £5 to non-club members. Free admission for under-18s
