Jon Richardson performing in North East

TICKETS will go on sale on Valentine's Day for Jon Richardson who will be headlining the Aberdeen International Comedy Festival.

The 8 out of 10 Cats star will bring things to a close in style with his show at the Music Hall on Saturday, October 10.

Adrian Watson, chief executive of festival organisers Aberdeen Inspired, said: "Attracting a name like Jon Richardson is a huge coup for us.

"We're pleased to continue building on the growth of the festival, which goes from strength to strength each year.

"We believe the calibre of our line-up is a reflection of that and we are looking forward to more exciting announcements in coming months."

Jon Richardson joins the already-announced comedians Gary Meikle and Tez Ilyas.
