FINDOCHTY primary kids and staff celebrated the Queen's platinum jubilee in style with a week of festivities.

The school's P7 Leadership Team had a busy time of it planning and running a range of activities for the whole school to take part in and enjoy. These included a range of competitions and challenges which ran throughout the week beginning May 30.

The celebrations were capped by a garden party for the whole school.

Headteacher Dawn Thomson said: "The garden party was absolutely fantastic, we had a wonderful time.

"We had a bouncy castle, football rounders, candy floss, popcorn, slushies and ice-cream as well as a special jubilee cake which was cut in the morning.

"We even had our own jubilee carriage, which was a decorated junior trike.

"Everyone had a great time, there was a great buzz about the school and we all went home on a high. After two years of Covid rules it was so good to be able to ge back to holding events like this

"The P7 Leadership Team did a great job throughout the week and I'd like to thank them all for their hard work."
