Knife found at Moray primary school





Police officers have confirmed they attended a primary school after a knife was brought to the site.

Officers said the knife was taken to the school, understood to be Mortlach Primary School in Dufftown, on Wednesday, April 16.

Police received a report of the weapon at around 10.30am, a spokesperson confirmed.

In the wake of the discovery, the spokesperson said, “suitable advice” was provided, and the police are “working with partners” over the matter.

The Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.30am on Wednesday, 16 April 2025, we received a report of a knife being brought to a school in the Keith area.

“Suitable advice was given, and police are working with partners in relation to the matter.”
