Elgin fires in Oldmills being treated as ‘wilful’ by police

Fires discovered in a central area of Elgin are being treated as “wilful”.

Police officers were called to the Oldmills area of town on Tuesday evening after reports of fires in the open.

Inspector Andy Meikleham said: “At around 9.55pm on Tuesday, May 27, we received a report of fires being set in Oldmills, Elgin.

"They are being treated as wilful.”
