Lochhead welcomes potential Moray Growth Deal

MORAY'S MSP has joined its MP in welcoming the possible announcement tomorrow of a large cash injection for the area.

Richard Lochhead has underlined that the Moray Growth deal – if it gets the go-ahead – will be funded jointly by both the Scottish and UK governments

Mr Lochhead said: "The Moray Growth Deal is funded by both the Scottish and UK Government and I know Scottish Ministers have been pressing UK Ministers to confirm their side of the bargain as soon as possible and an announcement this week would be most welcome.

"With Brexit and the potential of a No Deal Brexit lurking around the corner the deal will provide a valuable economic boost for Moray in the coming years and help create new high value jobs.

"The deal is long anticipated and as MSP I have supported this from day one with the support of the Scottish Government and congratulate the partners in Moray for getting us this far."
