St Gerardine’s Primary in Lossiemouth raises more than £12K for charity





A LOSSIEMOUTH primary school has raised more than £12,000 for charity after finishing runner-up in the MFR Schools Challenge.

St Gerardine Primary’s Nicola Green and Vicky Ingram - with help from dedicated member of the parent council fundraising team - raised £12,734 through a variety of engaging events to raise the funds.

Events included family quiz, disco beach party, a danceathon, a children’s disco, a bake sale and lucky square raffles. Additionally, some of the enthusiastic pupils helped at the local Co-op.

St Gerardine’s Headteacher, Claire Johnson, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the outcome of the MFR Schools Challenge.

“The dedication and hard work of our Parent Council Fundraising Team, the participation of our pupils, and the overwhelming support from our local community have all been instrumental in this success.”
