According to Glampitect, which lodged the plans with the local authority, the pods are intended for overnight guest use and would come with with associated decking and drainage facilities.

Each pod would be connected to an existing disused private sceptic tank.

Described by Glampitect as “high-end”, the pods would be constructed off-site by manufacturer Pod Factory and delivered as a full unit ready for installation.

The design and access statement submitted by the firm said: “The site location will be easily accessible from across the country.

“The small-scale, sustainable development will provide luxury holiday accommodation for tourists visiting the area on short breaks and weekend stays. The site is proposed to be in operation for 11 months of the year, making it an excellent option for visitors to retreat and access everything the area has to offer in all seasons.”

The application and relevant documentation can be viewed at Moray Council’s website.
