Man (54) found dead in Elgin





A 54-year-old man was found dead in Elgin in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called to Haugh Road before 8am and a large number of officers, cars and vans reported to the scene, where a body was found.

A police spokesperson said: "Police Scotland can confirm that officers were called to the Haugh Road area of Elgin at around 7.55am today (Monday, March 30), following the death of a 54-year-old man.

"There are no suspicious circumstances and, as with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."

The police will be releasing no further details.
