A 73-year-old man has been charged for alleged road traffic offences after a two-car crash in Elgin this afternoon.
The police, fire brigade and ambulance services were on the scene after the collision – which took place around 12.30pm.
The accident occurred on the A96, near the Dr Gray's roundabout, and resulted in one car being flipped onto its side.
The wellbeing of those involved in the crash is currently unknown.
A police spokesperson said: "At around 12.30pm on Friday, September 25, police and emergency services were called to a two-vehicle road crash between a Vauxhall Viva and a Ford Focus on the A96 in Elgin, near to the local hospital.
"Officers are currently at the scene and there are no details on injuries at this time. Enquiries are continuing.
"A 73-year-old man has been charged following the crash and will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal for alleged road traffic offences."
