A van driver has been airlifted to hospital in Aberdeen after sustaining serious injuries in a collision with a tractor on the A95 by the Speyside Centre.

The crash happened at around 7.45am at the junction of the trunk road and Skye of Curr turn-off near Dulnain Bridge.

The Aviemore-Grantown road is closed in both directions and emergency services remain at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Emergency services are in attendance following a crash between a tractor and a van on the A95 at the Skye of Curr junction.

"A man has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by helimed with serious injuries.

"The road is closed and diversions are in place."

Motorists are being advised to use an alternative route.
