Man charged following armed robbery in Buckie

Police Scotland has confirmed that a 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted robbery in Buckie.

Around 4.45pm on Monday, November 23, a man entered a convenience store on St Paul street where he presented a bladed weapon at a member of staff, before fleeing empty handed.

The man is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today.

Detective Sergeant, Robbie Williams, of Elgin CID, said: "We would like to thank the members of the public who shared and assisted with our appeal."
