Man remanded on Keith fire charge

A man has appeared in court to face charges that he deliberately set light to a home in Keith.

Anthony McPhee is accused of wilful fireraising plus three further charges of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.

The 33-year-old made no plea during the hearing at Inverness Sheriff Court.

He was remanded in custody until his next court date.

The property on Smiddie Lane West was set alight at about 4pm on Saturday, September 5.
