People flocked to meet Moray's very own mermaid, Ashleigh More.

The event was raising money for the Ladybird Group in Lossiemouth, which supports youngsters with additional needs.

The generosity of parents and guardians saw £685 raised for the group.

The beach was busy with locals and holidaymakers, with the mermaid causing a real stir.

Look out for a picture special from the event in The Northern Scot print newspaper on Friday and more pictures from the day, later this week online.
