IT'S Christmas!
Merry Christmas everybody and we hope you have a fantastic day whoever you are spending the day with.
To say 2021 has been a tough year would be a bit of an understatement to be honest.
Covid has continued to dominate our lives and will still be with us in 2022.
However, today is about celebrating all the good things in life, family, friends and happiness.
So grab yourself a slice today and have a fab day.

The Northern Scot and its sister papers will continue to strive to do our best for our respective communities in 2022.
We will try to reflect as best we can all the positive things happening in our villages and towns, while also reporting on some of the less happy news that nonetheless still needs covering.
