Mission Christmas at Bishopmill Primary School

The spirit of helping others was alive and well among pupils at Bishopmill Primary School.

Through their context for learning, Rights and Responsibilities, the pupils have been learning about the difference between needs and wants, how to be a good ambassador for their school and how to support their local community.

That saw them support the Mission for Christmas appeal through MFR.

Lauren MacInnes from MFR Cash for Kids, came to speak to the children in October to explain a little bit about what goes on behind the scenes.

The P3s then used this information to present an assembly about Mission Christmas to the rest of the school and their parents.

They got an amazing response with plenty of gifts donated.

P3 teacher Sheona Carr said: “They did a brilliant job and were delighted with the results.

“They want to say a huge thank you to our school community for helping them to support a worthy cause.”
