Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland to appear on Keith Community Radio

Keith Community Radio welcomes The Rt Hon Lord Wallace of Tankerness QC (Jim Wallace) to the airwaves next week.

Lord Wallace, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, will be on KCR’s religious programme Revving Up, to be broadcast on Monday, October 4 at 7pm.

The 45-minute programme will be repeated the following day at 11am.

James Wiseman, Chairman of KCR said; - “We’re delighted that Jim Wallace has agreed to join us on one of our shows.

"The radio is a great way to reach people and Revving Up is a popular weekly programme on KCR with a rota of 27 ministers taking part.

"Whether you attend church or not this is an opportunity not to be missed.”

Lord Wallace took up his year-long role as Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in May 2021.

A member of St Magnus Cathedral in Kirkwall, the 66-year-old life peer from Orkney is the second elder in modern times to take up the 12-month Moderator role, which will see him speaking out on issues important to the Church and its mission.

He said he hoped to use the position of Moderator to inspire and encourage people.

KCR broadcasts across Moray on 107.7FM and worldwide on the internet at www.kcr.fm .
