A CLUB which brings together women in business from across Moray is preparing to shine a spotlight on the area's best.

Entries are open for Moray Business Women's (MBW) 12th Annual Awards, which this year include a Covid Recognition Award.

It will acknowledge a business or individual who adapted to face challenges due to the pandemic by either modifying their own business or by supporting the community.

MBW president Clare Lock said: "We have watched the Moray business community rise to the challenges faced in light of COVID-19 with huge admiration and we feel it is only right to recognise this.

"Whether you’re a business which has been making PPE, have been providing lunches for front line workers, or even if you have found your company has been able to reduce local unemployment levels by hiring more staff during this time of crisis, we’re keen to hear your stories and experiences.

"We know lots of businesses in Moray have really struggled during the pandemic and many are still facing difficult times and uncertainty, but we want to celebrate the success stories and recognise all the hard work during these past few months."

Other categories in the annual showcase include: Best New Product or Service, Business Woman of the Year, Most Enterprising Business and Member of Inspiration.

"All of our awards, apart from Member of Inspiration, are open to all business women, whether they are a member or not so there is plenty of opportunity for women to enter and be recognised for what they do best," Clare added.

Application forms are available online at www.mbwc.org.uk . Details of how the awards ceremony will take place are yet to be finalised, with the committee keeping an eye on Government guidance and a decision expected in the next few weeks.
