Moray businessman Richard Forsyth OBE

A MORAY businessman has been given an OBE in the Queen's birthday honours.

Richard Forsyth has been at the heart of family engineering firm;'s growth in the last 50 years.

He started as a coppersmith with the Rothes-based family firm, making pot stills for local whisky distilleries in Speyside, and then moved in to management side of the business in the late 70s.

The group now has over 400 employees with five facilities in Scotland and one in Hong Kong, together providing a range of services to the distillation and oil and gas industries.

A keen football fan, he is also honorary president of Highland League side Rothes FC.
