The organisation, which serves almost 200 businesses in the region, relocated last year from the former railway station in Elgin.

It has since has its office at the new Moray Sports Centre in Linkwood Road.

Sarah Medcraf, the chamber's chief executive, said: "A second move in six months may unsettle some members, but I want to assure them that this move is a positive one for Moray Chamber.

"We are now close to many of the stakeholders that we work with on a regular basis and we are accessible for those popping to the High Street for their bank or their accountant.

"We are very much open for business and welcome all businesses in to visit us and to learn how we can help them."

The move follows the successful campaign to establish a Tourism Business Improvement District in Moray – a campaign which the chamber supported when Speyside Tourism was under its auspices.

The two organisations will now run independently.

However both state they will still work together for the good of the region.

Moray Chamber of Commerce is now based inside the Caledonian House business centre at the west end of Elgin High Street.

The next of its regular business events will be ‘Break down the budget', which will be held from 8am-10am in The Royal Hotel, Elgin, on March 12, following the UK budget.
