Moray farmhouse raid reveals cannabis crops with potential 45k value
A POLICE raid on outbuildings at a Moray farmhouse revealed cannabis crops with a potential value in excess of £45,000.
Acting on a tip-off, officers raided a property at Easter Greens Farmhouse, near Lossiemouth, on May 27, 2022.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard that tents housed cannabis plants at various stages of maturity.
In total, there were 36 plants with a potential value between £11,400 and £46,170.
Apart from the drugs, officers also found a package of cannabis seeds and a grow tent addressed to Craig McKinnon at the address.
The 40-year-old appeared before Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald, represented by his solicitor, Stephen Carty.
McKinnon admitted cultivating the illegal Class C drug and had sentence deferred until June 11 for a background report.
After he was charged, Mackinnon told police: "I don't feel myself guilty."
