A joiner from Keith has been ordered not to contact his ex-partner for the next three years.

Douglas Morrison, of Cameron Drive, appeared at Elgin Sheriff Court yesterday.

The 32-year-old admitted sending a Facebook message to the woman on May 24 last year.

This, the court heard, was in breach of his bail conditions.

The following day he then breached his bail again by contacting a relative.

Morrison also admitted an earlier offence of contacting the same relative on February 15, 2021.

Sheriff Robert McDonald imposed a non-harassment order for three years.

Morrison was also ordered to carry out 190 hours of unpaid work for the community within the next year.
