Moray Memories: Royals arrive at Elgin station in 2014

Queen Elizabeth II visited Moray several times over the decades. The last visit occurred in November 2014.

Her Majesty was greeted with cheers from the crowds who lined the platform at Elgin station as she stepped off the Royal Train.

Accompanying her on the visit was her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, on what was their 67th wedding anniversary.

The couple went on to visit Moray’s two military bases – Kinloss Barracks and RAF Lossiemouth.
