The police are appealing for information to trace a missing 24-year-old woman from Aberlour.

.

Rhiannon Knight was last seen in the area of West Road, Elgin, and was reported missing when she failed to turn up to an appointment around 7.15am this morning.

She is described as around 5ft 6 with dyed red hair.

She wears glasses and is described as having a distinctive walk.

The last time she was seen she was wearing all black clothing.

Sergeant Gary McTurk said' "We have reason to believe that Rhiannon may have travelled to Inverness by bus and therefore we are working with travel companies to establish this.

"Were you on a bus from Elgin to Inverness today, did you see anyone matching her description?

"Rhiannon has been going through a tough time recently and it is really important that we trace her.

"She is not in possession of her required medication.

"She does have her phone with her but it is possibly switched off.

"Her family are growing increasingly concerned for her.

"If anyone has any information on her whereabouts, we would urge you to get in contact.

"Rhiannon, if you see this – please get in touch with us so we know you are okay.”

Anyone with any information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 0689 of Monday, September 13.
