The funding has allowed the school bank to buy 350 uniforms which it is now distributing to families in need.

Once the children outgrow them, the uniforms will be put back into the bank or recycled.

Moray School Bank's founder Debi Weir, said: "We are just delighted to be successful in securing this £10,000.

"It means we'll be able to meet the increase in demand for support due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We've been able to increase staff hours – and that's been a huge help as we're seeing a huge rise in referrals.

"Thanks so much to National Lottery players who made this possible."

Neil Ritch from the National Lottery Community Fund, said: "Moray School Bank is an important project which showcases the vital work that’s being done right at this minute in communities across the country."
