Elgin High School head teacher Hugh McCulloch said: "I'm delighted for the students because obviously it's been a year of adversity and their performance throughout the year has been picked up and they've got their just rewards for their efforts and hard work.

"I'd also say that's representative of the whole school community – the support that's been given by the staff and parents throughout EHS.

"The school results have gone up and up over recent years and these guys have been a big part of that. I'm absolutely delighted for them and the school community."
