THIS seagull with a dart through its head was spotted in Elgin's Cooper Park on Tuesday morning.

The photograph was taken by Lesley Morrison beside the pond.

The Elgin resident said: "It wasn't the type of dart you throw. It was more like something that's shot out of an air gun.

"The bird was still flying about so the bolt must have missed all its vital organs, however it was firmly lodged in its head and neck.

"I'm no particular fan of seagulls but it's seems a cruel thing to do."
