Moray takes a minute to thank NHS staff and key workers with clapping and bagpipes

MORAY folk last night joined in with a UK-wide minute of appreciation for key workers.
The UK stopped at 8pm to show a minute's appreciation for those on the front line in the fight against coronavirus.
In Moray, there was applause in all towns and bagpipes were played across the area.
At Glenisla Care Home in Keith, Ewen Brindle (23) played the bagpipes with the home's residents cheering him on from inside.
Ewen, a music teacher at Buckie High School, said: "I was originally planning just to pipe on my doorstep – but my mum is a shift leader at Glenisla Care Home and invited me up to give the residents a few tunes.
"A couple of the residents' families came up and it was nice to have a bigger audience, who really appreciated it.
"All the residents were waving through the window and seemed really happy."
Members of the Strathisla Pipe Band also showed their appreciation for key workers. Keith Morrison, who works at Roseisle Distillery, stopped working at 8pm to pipe.
In Elgin, several pipers played on door steps around town – including 12-year-old Kenzie Stephen. Outside Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin, police sirens sounded in support of those working flat out inside.
