More than 60 per cent of Moray adults have received their first Covid-19 jab – 12 per cent have received both

MORE than 60 per cent of Moray's adult population has received a first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.

A first jab has been given to 48,134 people (60.4 per cent of the area's adults), with 9608 (12.1 per cent of the area's adults) now fully vaccinated.

In the last week, 2452 adults received their first jab, while 3125 received their second. This is the first time more second dose jabs have been given in a week than first dose jabs.

Moray's numbers remain ahead of the national average, with 57.1 per cent of adults (2,593,932 people) across the country having received their first jab and 10.6 per cent (479,239 people) having received both.

NHS Grampian's numbers are catching the national average, with 56.1 per cent of the health board's adult population (271,973 people) now having received a first dose.

A total of 9.8 per cent of the health board's adult population (47,766 people) has been fully vaccinated.
