Deskford Flower Show set to bloom for 2024
A flower show is set to blossom as it returns for its 123rd year.
Competitors - both seasoned and new - will be pitting their talents – and green fingers – against each other in a wide range of categories and classes, including flowers, floral art, baking, vegetables and industrial.
Many coveted prizes up for grabs, not least Baldwin Cup for Most Points Overall (Gents) - claimed last year by Graeme Clark - and the Rose Bowl for Most Points Overall (Ladies), won in 2023 by Moyra Hendry.
Organiser Maimie Mitchell said: “We’re looking forward to agreat afternoon for everyone - all are welcome.”
Away from the main hall there will be plenty on the go for young and old alike.
Set to make a welcome return to the show will be the display of vintage tractors, which always proves a winner.
It is also hoped to have entertainment in the shape of music and dancers.
Teas and coffees will also be available
The event gets under way for the public at 2pm, with the prizegiving scheduled for 4.30pm.
