A new takeaway has opened its doors in a town centre.

Chinese takeaway Sunrise, located at 222 High Street in Elgin, opened for the first time late this afternoon (October 1).

It’s on the west of the high street, sandwiched between Fah Sai Thai Massage and Wellbeing and a former hair and beauty salon.

Sunrise began putting menus and leaflets through the doors of neighbouring properties in the build-up to opening day.

The takeaway replaces China Town, another Chinese takeaway which recently shut its doors.
