FOURTY-SIX cases of Covid-19 have now been associated with Elgin Academy in the last 25 days.

It was confirmed last Thursday that 28 cases of the virus had been associated with the school, so this is an increase of 18 in five days.

NHS Grampian confirmed the new cases today.

A spokesperson said: "We are aware of 46 cases associated with Elgin Academy since April 10.

"Public Health is working closely with Moray Council and the school’s management."
