John Thain, from Buckie, kindly sent in a picture of the 1st Buckie Girls Training Corps and would love to hear from anyone who could put some names to faces.

He said: "The only information I have is that it is the 1st Buckie GTC when they won the shield for best scrap-book in Scotland.

"This information was given to me by my mother Maggie Jessie Thain (Ms Mitchell) from Hall Street in Buckie.

"Going by her age at the time I would place the photo as being taken between 1946-1950. She is seventh from the left in the back row, or behind and one to the right of the woman with the shield on her knee.

"I am not 100 per cent sure but I think it may have been the Girl's Air Training Corps."
