A96 crash between Keith and Fochabers results in one person being taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin





One person was taken to hospital after a crash that resulted in the temporary closure of the A96.

The road was shut between Keith and Fochabers on Thursday evening after a collision involving multiple vehicles.

The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed that one person was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital after the incident.

Police shut the road in the aftermath of the crash, but it has since reopened.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 7.44pm on Thursday, January 9, to attend a road traffic collision on the A96.

“We dispatched two ambulances to the scene and one patient was transported to Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin.”

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
