A PAIR of otters have been spotted enjoying themselves in the River Lossie.

The animals were spotted in Elgin, where famous resident 'Cooper' made a name for himself in the summer of 2019.

These pictures were sent in by reader Alan Milne, who spotted the pair "eating and playing" while out on his daily exercise.

'Cooper' sadly died late in 2019, with these otters seemingly the first spotted in the town since.

The gender and relationship of the two unnamed creatures remains unknown.

If taking photos of the animals while on your daily walk, remember to keep your distance – from the otters and others.
