Elgin pensioner downloaded indecent images of pre-teen children, Inverness Sheriff Court hears
A pensioner has admitted downloading dozens of indecent images of pre-teen children.
Graham Farquhar, of Kesson Court in Elgin, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted to downloading a total of 40 still child abuse images and one video, which was of the most serious kind in Category A.
The one-minute long video showed a girl aged between seven and 10 engaged in sexual activity with an adult, fiscal depute Alison Young told Sheriff Gary Aitken.
The 70-year-old, who told police he had “no sexual interest in children”, also had 18 stills of girls aged from eight to 12 in erotic posing positions.
They were all found on his mobile phone after police raided his property on June 7 last year.
Another 16 category C stills had been deleted, along with five category A and three in Category B.
Farquhar will reappear on December 10 after a background report and an assessment for a sex offender's programme have been completed.
He was immediately placed on the Sex Offender's Register.
