ONE night-owl Northern Scot reader captured a beautiful Aurora dance in the skies over Lossiemouth last night while most of us were tucked up in bed.

Michelle Cumming, of Meeshee Cumming Photography, dashed to the West Beach in the early hours to catch a play of colours from the Northern Lights.

She said afterwards: "What a show tonight from the Aurora – and it's not even the cold nights yet.

"I saw the alerts and bolted at 1am to the beach.

"We're so lucky on the Moray coast – it's such a great vantage point for the 'Merry Dancers'."
