Buckie in days gone by: Fishing views from the past
Our weekly voyage into times gone by in the local area takes on a fishing theme.
Buckie in days gone by will look back at pictures of the town - and surrounding areas - and shine a light on some of the biggest events to have happened in our community.
Taken from the archives of the Buckie and District Fishing Heritage Centre Ltd, the pictures show the town and its surrounding areas - in some cases more than 100 years ago.
Our first photo features a fisherman proudly showing off two fine specimens from his boat’s catch.
In the other, we can see the Buckie-registered boat Mizpah BCK 19 on her way to the fishing grounds.
