PICTURES: Hopeman Amateur Dramatic Society (HADS) celebrates biggest ever Pantomime performance
A VILLAGE pantomime has successfully completed a record-breaking run of their most ambitious production to date.
Hopeman Amateur Dramatic Society's four performances of their latest show Cinders featured the largest ever cast, with 41 children taking part in the performance.
Co-director Louise McKnight said: "This year's show is the biggest we have ever been, we had 41 under 18's this year which is a huge cast for us.
"We've got kids coming from as far as Forres and Kinloss, and from the sounds of it all the kids want to come back next year, so it might be even bigger next year, but you know everyone can be part of Hopeman panto, it's great."
Cinders was also directing first for Louise, who joined panto stalwart Nikki Burnel to lead the show.
Louise said: "I had an amazing time directing, it was the best experience. The kids really gave it their all and I couldn't have asked for any more from them, I was so proud of them.
"People have given us really positive feedback and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves - which is a relief because I was really nervous."
Alongside the large cast, this years pantomime also broke records, with the busiest ever opening night on record.
The trend continued over the weekend both the Saturday matinee and evening show sold out quickly and people even began waiting outside in case a ticket became available.
Louise said: "To have people waiting outside for a ticket in cold January weather was completely mindblowing.
"We're so unbelievably lucky that we have the support of the local community."
