Moray Council approves plans for demolition and rebuilding of Keith Builders Merchant in Forres.
Moray Council has given the green light for the demolition of a building materials supplier and the creation of a new one.
Plans have been approved for the work at Keith Builders Merchant, located on Waterford Road, Forres.
A new store will be built to the west of the existing builder’s merchant, which will be demolished once the new building becomes operational.
Measuring 54 by 21.4 metres, the proposed building will stand 6.7 metres high to the eaves and 9.6 metres high to the pitch.
Included in the proposal are a private soakaway, septic tank, and soakaway for wastewater treatment.
Situated on the northern boundary of Waterford Industrial Estate in Forres, the site offers ample space.
The new building is planned to occupy a flat, grassed plot of land immediately west of the current premises.
Approval for the application was granted on June 25. For more details, enter reference 25/00096/APP into the Moray Council planning portal.
