Plans lodged to convert former Portknockie hair salon to flat

A PLANNING application has been lodged to transform a former hairdressing salon into a one bedroom flat.

The property, which is at 24 Park Street in the village, has lain empty for some time.

The application, which was submitted on December 2, was lodged by Norman Forteath Building Design of Elgin on behalf of Moira Proctor and Ian Nutall.

This application and others lodged with the council can be viewed on the local authority's online planning portal at www.moray.gov.uk

The portal allows members of the public to comment on an application, check the final planning decision, track the progress of an application and check the weekly lists

In addition to viewing information regarding planning applications, details of representations and consultation responses on valid applications received on or after April 1, 2011 will also be available to view, with redaction applied to personal or sensitive information within documents.
